2016 European Weightlifting Championship came to an end in Norway.
In the light of recent meldonium related scandals in the world of Olympic sports, it was interesting how it will affect performance of the weightlifters, the usual suspects for doping related disqualifications in the last decades. It’s too early for comments but I don’t remember Russia being represented by such a young team practically in all weight classes.
Come on… When was the last time you saw Russian athletes competing in men’s bamtam or featherweight classes? And, on the other hand, when was the last time the Russians were out of medals among the super heavyweights?
Something obviously is “cooking” prior to the big and heavy lifting in Rio this year.
